Trayvon Martin & a Collective Case of PTSD
Who isn't personally traumatized by the Trayvon Martin case; for whom is it not "personal?" How has racism not affected all of us in ways that strike a chord?
For whites, it's been a wake up call that racism of "old" is alive and well, and that no--the election of a black president, while it has elevated our image--has not eradicated racist behavior.
For black men and women, it has been a trigger for severe post-traumatic stress disorder.
